Google working on glasses with inbuilt display?
The rumour that Google is working on a pair of glasses with an inbuilt head up display (HUD) has been around for a few months, and now more information has been revealed by a ‘tipster’, to website 9to5Google. The prototype device apparently looks like a pair of Oakley Thumps (pictured).

These glasses, we heard, have a front-facing camera used to gather information and could aid in augmented reality apps. It will also take pictures.

The report suggests the inbuilt HUD will only be on one eye, and on the side of the glasses. The glasses have inbuilt equipment ‘similar to an older generation smartphone’, including some type of accelerometer/compass/gyrometer combo, allowing the HUD navigation to be controlled by small head motions to scroll and click around the display.
Google already has an Android App which would work great built into these glasses - Google Goggles.

This has the potential to be really awesome.
